Model 405 nm NO2/NO/NOx Monitor

  • US-EPA FEM-Approved and TÜV certified for NO2 Compliance Monitoring.
  • Direct measurement of atmospheric nitrogen dioxide (NO2) by absorbance at 405 nm. Nitric oxide (NO) is measured by selective conversion with ~100% efficiency using the highly selective reaction of NO with ozone (O3). Total reactive oxides of nitrogen NOx is obtained by addition of NO and NO2.
  • Concentration range 0-10,000 ppb (0-10 ppm) for NO2 and 0-2,000 ppb (0-2 ppm) for NO with high precision and accuracy.
  • Unlike chemiluminescence instruments, does not require molybdenum or photolytic converter with highly variable efficiency

Black Carbon Photometer

  • Direct measurement of total extinction (absorbance + scattering) due to particulate matter at two wavelengths, 405 nm and 880 nm. The 880-nm channel can be used to compute black carbon mass concentration. Extinction at the shorter 405 nm wavelength can be related empirically to PM2.5 in a given location.
  • The BCP has high sensitivity, needs no preconcentration on a filter (unlike Aethalometers), and gives fast measurements of black carbon. The absorption cell is folded to give a long (2.1-meter) path length in a compact space.
  • Useful for researchers studying the role of black carbon in air quality and climate, and for air quality managers interested in estimating community exposure risks.

Personal Mercury Monitor Model HERMES

  • The World’s Smallest Mercury Monitor.
  • The basic POM unit has dimensions of 4 × 3 × 1.5 inches and weighs only 340 g / 450 g without / with battery. It has a built in GPS so that mercury measurements may be logged continuously along with geographic location.
  • Detects Ozone on the direct measurement principle of UV Absorption at 254 nm with an accuracy of 0.1 μg/m3  or 2% of reading.
  • Applications include personal exposure monitoring for studies of health effects of ozone, monitoring and control of mercury in industrial settings, long-term monitoring at remote locations where power is highly limited among others.
